Stand reservations have been adjusted for 2008.

The easiest way to reserve stands is by logging on to the
"Online Community Forum" and sending a private message to the user "Reservations". Requests must be made by noon on Tuesday. You will receive a response on Tuesday night.

If you are interested in reserving a group of stands for the week, please send a private message to user "Reservations" before 10:00 AM Tuesday morning to get your name on the list. If you are successful in getting a stand assignment, you will be notified by private message.

Requirements for reservation requests:

• Name of mentor
• Name(s) of mentors if group larger than 3 (see below)
  

Each week, the stands for the entire Bucks and Buckthorn program will be randomized and assigned a number to determine order.

The order of participants messaging in will determine stand assignment.

Example: If you are the 4th mentor to message a request for a stand reservation, you will be assigned the group of stands that came up number 4 after being randomized. (Stand order will change every week)

Allowable hunting groups:

Mentors                                                Youth

• 1-2 legal guardians/parents             1 or 2 youth-dependants
• 1 legal guardian/parent & 1 mentor      1-2 youth-dependents
• 2 mentors                             2-4 youth
• 3 mentors                             2-3 youth
• 1 mentor, 1 mentor-in-training            1-4 youth

Group Hunts/Cabin Events: To be arranged/approved through reservation coordinator.

Group size is limited to a maximum of 6, in which 2 or 3 can be mentors.

If you are planning to hunt with a group larger than 3, but still meet the requirements for group size as outlined above, you may request 2 groups of stands. This will give you a total of 6 stands and stand assignment will be adjusted so the 2 stand groups are in the same area and next to each other. Only request this if you have more than 3 people scheduled and willing to hunt for the week.

When requesting 2 groups of stands, all the mentors must be identified. If you are a mentor identified in a group larger than 3, you will not be allowed to reserve any more stands for that week

Example: If Mentor “A” messages in and requests 2 groups of stands, Mentor “A” will have to identify to other mentors – mentors “B” and “C” - who will be using those stands.
Mentors “B” and “C” will not be able to reserve any other stands for that week

Send a private message to user "Reservations" with any changes to your stand reservations – i.e. adding mentors or mentees, etc.

All stand assignments will be posted on the Bucks and Buckthorn website.
